Junior Board of Directors

So, you’ve decided to answer the call for ACTION, that’s great!

Being a part of a Junior Board of Directors for youth in transitional living shows your commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of young people. Our transitional living programs are designed to assist young individuals who are transitioning from foster care, homelessness, or other challenging circumstances into independent living.

As a member of the Junior Board of Directors, you will have several responsibilities and opportunities to contribute to the organization’s mission. Through advocacy and outreach, Fundraising, Program Development, Volunteer Coordination, Community Engagement and Youth support, your dedication and contributions to the Junior Board of Directors can make a significant difference in the lives of youth in transitional living.

Donations

Your financial donations support the programs and resources that empower our teens to succeed, but that’s not the only way you can help us provide the services and programs that can transform their lives.
We welcome donations of new and gently used clothing (winter outerwear and undergarments) and hygiene articles for our winter clothes distribution.
For our annual housewarming event, we welcome donations of small appliances (dorm refrigerators and toaster ovens, among other things), bedding, towels, cleaning supplies and more.

Community Partnership

Collaboration and partnership foster a collective approach to social issues, encouraging organizations to work together toward a common goal. By working together with other organizations and businesses, we’ll pool resources, expertise, and networks. This cooperative effort amplifies our impact, expands our reach, and creates more efficient use of resources, and increases the likelihood of achieving meaningful and sustainable change in the lives of those we serve.

Non-profits often have limited budgets and resources. Through collaboration and partnership, organizations can pool their financial, human, and material resources. This allows them to undertake more extensive and impactful initiatives that would be difficult to achieve individually.

Partnering with HART House brings together a diverse range of skills and expertise. Each organization can contribute their unique strengths and knowledge, leading to more comprehensive and effective solutions to the challenges we aim to address. Collaboration opens up access to each other’s networks and audiences. This increased reach can lead to more significant community engagement, increased awareness of the organization’s mission, and the potential to connect with new beneficiaries, donors, and supporters. Partnering with like-minded organizations allows for a more focused and unified approach to addressing shared issues and goals. This synergy creates a stronger collective voice, which can influence policy changes and foster a more significant impact on societal issues.

In many cases, we (non-profits) are working independently on similar issues. Through collaboration, we can coordinate efforts, share information, and avoid duplication of services, leading to greater efficiency and effectiveness. Working together provides opportunities to learn from one anotherexperiences and best practices. This continuous exchange of knowledge and ideas can lead to improvements in program design and implementation.

Collaborating with reputable partners can enhance our credibility and reputation within the community and among potential funders and donors. This credibility can lead to increased trust and support for the organization’s initiatives. This leads to leveraging funding Opportunities since some funding sources prefer or prioritize collaborative projects over individual initiatives. By forming partnerships, we can access additional funding opportunities that may not be available as single entities.

Let’s improve our efforts and long-term Sustainability by successfully working together and addressing complex social issues and building a stronger foundation that has a lasting change.
